Access codes and sharing

View code and admin code

The view code lets someone see the board. The admin code changes the roster, proxies, quorum target and meeting settings. Keep the admin code private.

If someone else set the board up

A RollCall board belongs to the whole Zoom account. If a colleague already installed it, installing again does not create a second board or show you the codes. Ask them for a view code or an admin code.

Changing your codes

If a code has been shared too widely or seen over a screen share, click Access codes on the board and issue a new pair. Your roster, proxies, attendance log and frozen rolls are kept. Every other device, and every view link you sent, will need the new code.

Recovering a lost admin code

Email jp@dataonthespot.com from the Zoom account's administrator address. After we verify the request, we transfer the board and retire the old codes. The new administrator then opens rollcall.live/go/install, approves the app, and is shown the new codes. Your records are kept.

Do not uninstall to recover access: uninstalling resets the codes but deletes all of your records.

Sharing a view link

Copy view link on the board copies a link that opens the board already unlocked. Anyone with the link can watch the board, so send it only to the people who should see it. The code travels in the part of the URL browsers do not send to a server, and is removed from the address bar when the page opens.
